DISORDERLY CONDUCT AT THE JERSEY SHORE CAN HAVE SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES.

Sea Girt is a popular Jersey Shore place to eat drink and be merry. But if you get too merry and cross the line into behavior that is considered disorderly conduct you might need the services of a lawyer.

Disorderly conduct has many flavors in and around Sea Girt, New Jersey: Soliciting unlawful sexual intercourse or any other unlawful, indecent, lewd or lascivious act. Common theft, burglary or pickpocketing from churches to amusement parks.  Carrying weapons – and that includes pistols, cutlass, jacks, crows, bits, bludgeon or other dangerous or offensive weapons with intent to assault or steal.

Maliciously destroying property with less than $25 in value. Unlawful dumping of cars, or car parts or other junk on private property or open fields. Destruction of school property or harassing students or teachers. False alarms and that includes pulling alarms, ringing bells or phoning in a fake fire call.

Driving over a fire hose – don’t do it.

On and on. A long inventory of disorderly conduct offenses, which will all result in arrest, law courts, legal fees and possible fines or even jail time – if the judge really disapproves of your whole act.

Sea Girt is known as an affluent beach town with a thriving bar and party scene so the most likely disorderly conduct offenses are along the lines of drunken, party kids hooliganism: destruction of private property, misinterpretation of age, graffiti, fighting and other brawling, interference with law enforcement officers, nudity and undress, littering and public urination or defecation.

NICE QUIET LITTLE BEACH COMMUNITY

To paraphrase The Big Lebowski: They’ve got a nice quiet little beach community in Sea Girt and they don’t want any yahoos disturbing the peace by engaging in conduct that is disorderly.
